Drenas is the next municipality to benefit from a new investment package in energy efficiency measures. During a meeting with the Mayor of Drenas Municipality, Mr. Ramiz Lladrovci, five (5) energy service agreements were signed for five (5) facilities: “Migjeni” School, “Shote Galica” School, “24 Korriku” School, “Shaban Polluzha” School, and the Family Healthcare Center in Nekoc village.
The Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund will invest over 645 thousand euros in the renovation of these buildings with efficient measures. These measures include thermal insulation of the building envelope (insulating walls, windows, and roof efficiently), replacing the existing boiler with a more efficient one, cleaning the pipeline network, installing dynamic thermostatic valves to maintain internal temperatures according to required standards, and conducting electrical work such as changing inefficient lighting fixtures to LED ones.
This investment is supported and funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo, the World Bank, and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
