At the meeting between the Minister of Economy, Ms. Artane Rizvanolli, and the Chairperson of the Board of the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund (KEEF), Mr. Lum Mita, funds in the amount of 1 million euros were transferred to improve efficiency measures in authorized primary and secondary schools, family medicine buildings, and other municipal facilities.
The project has a total investment of 18 million euros and is co-funded by the European Union and the World Bank. The Government of Kosovo has allocated and contributed 3 million euros to this project.
During the meeting, further development of funding modalities in the energy efficiency sector covering residential and private sectors was discussed. The parties agreed that energy efficiency should play a significant role in Kosovo’s energy transformation to be envisaged in the Energy Strategy.
