Last five projects KEEF
Public Sector
KEEF has enabled the implementation of energy efficiency measures in public buildings across all municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo.
Through financing and the provision of expertise, comfort has been improved in a total of 85 completed buildings owned by municipalities (school facilities, family health centers, sports and cultural halls, etc.).
Implemented measures include:
Insulation of external walls
Roof insulation
Replacement of windows and external doors
Installation of LED lighting
Intervention/Replacement of heating systems
The total value of completed investments amounts to €13.591 million, provided by the European Union, the World Bank, and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
These investments have been carried out through a revolving scheme, under which municipalities repay the funds to FKEE within 15 years.
The expected energy savings reach up to 26 GWh per year, while CO2 emissions are reduced by up to 5,000 tons per year.
Currently, 17 new projects with a total budget of €3.727 million are under implementation.
KEEF is providing the largest subsidy to date in the Republic of Kosovo, dedicated to owners of individual houses.
Through the project “IMPLEMENTATION OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY MEASURES FOR INDIVIDUAL RESIDENTIAL HOUSES”,
from the public calls of 2023 and 2024, a total of 3,875 households benefited from subsidies covering 45% of the investment amount (50% in cases of co-ownership or when the owner is a woman).
Subsidized measures include:
Insulation of external walls
Roof insulation
Replacement of windows and external doors
The total disbursed amount is €10.350 million, funds provided by the European Union through the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
The expected energy savings reach up to 100 GWh per year, while CO2 emissions are reduced by 34,000 tons per year.
