In the presence of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Kurti, the Minister, Ms. Rizvanolli, the Mayor, Mr. Aliu, the Managing Director of KEEF, Mr. Ismaili, and representatives of the donors, Mr. Paolucci from the World Bank, and Mr. Bianchardi from the European Union, the “Bill Clinton” Sports Hall project in Ferizaj was inaugurated.
The investment, worth nearly 490 thousand euros, was implemented by the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund in a collaboration with the Municipality of Ferizaj, funded by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the World Bank, and the European Union.
This project is one of the most complex in terms of architecture, but it also includes a combination of energy efficiency measures aimed at saving energy. These measures are estimated to reduce basic consumption by 52%, positively impacting the environment, conditions and well-being of athletes and fans of sports and culture in the city of Ferizaj.
The energy efficiency measures that have been implemented include thermal insulation of the roof, installation of flat solar collectors (with a total surface area of 38.4m2) for heating sanitary water, external thermal insulation of the walls, replacement of old windows and doors with efficient ones, installation of two new biomass/pellet boilers for central heating (capacity 600 kW), replacement of old radiators with new ones, and replacement of old lighting fixtures with new LED fixtures (152 in total).
The inauguration of this project has been carried out as part of the projects being implemented by KEEF in the municipalities of Kosovo in public buildings through its mechanism.
