The Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund (KEEF) informs all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that the application for subsidizing energy efficiency measures in their residential houses on the e-Kosova platform is now open. The application period starts on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 09:00 and closes on September 10, 2024 at 16:00. However, KEEF reserves the right to close the call early if the allocated budget is exhausted by applications, or to extend the deadline depending on the available funds.

All interested parties are invited to carefully read the Public Call in advance, which is available on the official website of KEEF (www.fkee-rks.net), in order to understand and comply with the selection criteria and application instructions.

With a budget of 5 million euros, a donation from the European Union through the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, KEEF aims to subsidize around 1300 families. The grants will cover up to 45% of the investment amount or 50% for women owners or houses co-owned by couples, without exceeding the total subsidy amount of 5,500 euros. Thus, if the investment of the beneficiary family will cost a total of 10,000 euros, they can receive a subsidy of up to 4,500 euros from the Fund after completing the works, which must be completed by December 31, 2024.

Energy efficiency measures that citizens can apply for include thermal insulation of external walls, thermal insulation of the roof, and replacement of windows and external doors.

Among the main eligibility criteria, it is important to note that the applicant must be a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, registered and verified on the eKosova platform, have a habitable house connected to an operating energy supplier in the Republic of Kosovo, have electricity consumption, make payments for that consumption, and also meet the technical criteria outlined in the call documents on the KEEF website.

Please note that the public call does not apply to works that have already started, and the simplified audit reports should not be older than the announcement date of the call.
